Low Lying Placenta

I just had a growth u/s this afternoon and after the u/s tech was finished she called the dr to come in and check on me. He came in and told me that I have a low lying placenta. He said that my OB would definitely be keeping an eye on this and I'll definitely have more growth u/s to see how it progresses. The results should be submitted to him this afternoon so I'm going to call him tomorrow to discuss this. The baby is looking very good and is a little on the larger side. He weighs 2 lbs and is in the 82% percentile. Johnny was always in the 50% percentile so it will be interesting to see how much bigger will he be than Johnny. Here are my 2 belly shots at 25 weeks to compare.

2 U 2

After 5 months since my last blog post, I wanted you all to know some great news!

Johnny is getting a baby brother on or around September 7!!!!

I'm expecting baby boy #2!!!

John and I are very excited with our newest member of the family. I am 20 weeks along today. I've been feeling very good. This pregnancy has been identical to Johnny's. It's like I'm pregnant with Johnny all over again. At first it was really hard because I was extremely tired and couldn't rest when I wanted to because I had Johnny to take care of, but ever since I've been in the 2nd tri, I've been feeling so much better. I found out on April 9 that we are expecting another baby boy!!! I was hoping for another boy. Johnny and his brother will only be a year apart and I really wanted him to have a brother to play with.

When we told our family the news most of them were in total shock. They couldn't believe that we were expecting again while Johnny was only 4 months old. Many of them even asked us if it had been an accident, but no this baby was very planned just like Johnny.

After I got pregnant with Johnny and things were going really well, John and I had decided we didn't want to wait to long for baby #2. I know some people say it's easy to get pregnant after you have a first but I have also heard stories about people who have had a hard time. At my 6 week post-partum appt I had a talk with my Ob and asked him how long should I wait until I start TTC #2. He said as long as one delivery is 12 months apart from the next it's okay. So John and I started to think that we would start trying soon. I stopped pumping when Johnny was 2.5 months and shortly after that John and I began our TTC #2 journey. I waited for my first period after Johnny and that same very cycle we tried. On our first cycle we got a BFP! I tested on Christmas Eve and got a BFN so I figured that we had to wait next cycle. I had no symptoms at all so I totally thought that cycle was done. A few days later, no AF so I decided to test again and got a BFP. I called my Ob/Gyn and the next day I started my betas. So far everything is going really well with this pregnancy. My Ob is still monitoring me just like he did with Johnny. I see him every 2 weeks instead of once a month. I have to say I treat this pregnancy so much different. I'm not as cautious as I was with Johnny. I lift things, and I do things that I would of never done with Johnny. Is this good or bad? I don't know but I just feel so good about everything.

I know it's going to be a hard year. I can't imagine having 2 little boys only one year apart. I can only imagine that it will be a lot of work but I think in the end it will be worth it. Luckily I have my mom and sister who live very close to me and are always willing to help me out. Like I mentioned above I really wanted another boy and I'm so thankful that I am expecting another boy. Johnny and his brother will be sharing the same room. The little brother will be using all of Johnny's clothes and hopefully they will grow up being best friends.

I'll keep you all updated on this pregnancy as it progress further along.
