Recurrent Miscarriage Blood Work

The day has finally arrived, the day I have been waiting for a month now. This morning at 7:10 am, John and I walked into our local hospital to have our recurrent miscarriage blood work done. We walked in, checked in, and were sent to the lab. We waited for about 10 minutes and than we were called in. Together we both walked in, we sat right next to each other, and the blood work began. My Ob/Gyn had told me that my blood work was going to be more in depth than John's and it sure was. John filled up 2 tubes of blood and I a record breaker for me, 11 tubes of blood. I couldn't believe it, when the nurse said, we need 11 tubes from you. From that amount of blood, I can only imagine how many tests they will run on me. So it's done and on the way to a lab out in California. According to my Ob/Gyn, the blood work that was done today goes to a lab in California, where they will breakdown everything for us.

I feel SO GOOD today. I feel like at last I'll be getting answers to why I have had two miscarriages in 9 months. I am so optimistic about my results that I feel like I can not receive bad news from it. If indeed they do find something abnormal with John and/or me, that will explain why I have had two miscarriages and hopefully there is treatment for the cause. On the other side, if everything comes back normal, and it has just been bad luck, that's good news too because I know there is nothing wrong with us. I'm not sure how long it will take to get the results, but since it's going to California, it might take a few weeks.

Next step, waiting for AF to arrive this weekend, and have my HSG. My HSG has been scheduled for October 2 @ 12:30 p.m. Happy Anniversary to me! My HSG is going to be performed on my wedding anniversary. Perhaps that's a good sign for some good news.

Hey there!
I'm glad you are feeling good today and that you got all of the blood work done! They sure took a lot of blood from you, I'm not sure that I could have handled that. It is also good that your HSG has been scheduled. Hopefully the fact it is on your anniversary will bring you luck!
